While working at the Billy Graham Association, I was asked to create a new brand identity for Will Graham's Celebration events. Will Graham is the grandson of Billy Graham. A mix of prominent musical artists headlines his events and then Will shares a message of hope and invites attendees to follow Jesus Christ. I began by exploring a variety of logo designs. In previous years, the branding had a retro feeling with vintage type styles and a printed, hand-made quality to it.
My goal was to come up with several options that carried that aesthetic forward as well as some that were more modern and contemporary. After narrowing down my logo explorations, I created multiple poster designs as a way to experiment with type, color, and photo treatments. We narrowed these down to three options that we showed to Will and other decision makers. Once the concept was approved, it was rolled out into larger national and international campaign.
